Step 1 — Discovery
Understanding your vision
Every successful renovation begins with a conversation. This is where we learn about your project, your goals for the space, your timeline and the level of support you need.
We also explain how the Design & Reno Collab works and how our project management integrates with the design team.
During this stage we:
• Review your design plans and project ideas
• Discuss budget expectations and timelines
• Explain our process and scope of services
• Identify any early considerations for trades or approvals
Our goal is to ensure everyone starts the project aligned, informed and excited about what’s ahead.
Step 2 — Renovation Planning
Expert preparation is everything
Before any work begins onsite, we undertake a detailed planning phase to ensure the renovation is properly structured.
This is where Order Co brings together the key pieces needed to prepare your project for quoting and construction.
During this stage we:
• Conduct site consultations
• Develop the detailed renovation scope of works
• Coordinate early trade input where required
• Prepare documentation for accurate quoting
• Begin initial project scheduling
• Identify potential risks or design considerations
This stage ensures trades receive clear, detailed information so quotes are accurate and the build process runs efficiently.
Step 3 — Trade Quoting & Budget Planning
Building the right team
Once the project scope is complete, we begin engaging our trusted network of trades to quote the works.
We manage all the trade coordination for you, so you don’t need to source multiple quotes. Our trusted trades have been carefully vetted and market-tested through numerous projects, ensuring quality, reliability, and fair pricing. You can rest easy knowing each trade is fully qualified and ready to deliver, without the hassle of chasing multiple bids. Because the scope has been professionally prepared, trades are able to price the project accurately and thoroughly.
During this phase we:
• Coordinate site visits with relevant trades
• Manage trade questions and clarifications
• Collect and review all quotations
• Compare pricing and scope coverage
• Prepare a consolidated renovation budget
• Provide recommendations on trade selections
Our goal is to assemble the right team for your project, not just the cheapest option. This stage gives you clear visibility of investment required before committing to construction.
Step 4 — Project Setup
Preparing for construction
Once the budget and trade selections are approved, we prepare the project for site commencement.
This is where we convert the plan into a fully coordinated build schedule.
We will:
• Finalise the renovation schedule
• Confirm trade bookings
• Coordinate supplier orders
• Upload project schedule into BuilderTrend client portal
• Confirm site access logistics
• Prepare the site for the construction phase
At this point you’ll have complete visibility of the renovation timeline and what to expect each week.
Step 5 — Construction & Project Management
Where the magic happens
During construction, Order Co becomes the central point of coordination for the entire project.
We manage communication between trades, monitor progress, and ensure the renovation is delivered according to the agreed scope and timeline.
Our role includes:
• Coordinating trades and site sequencing
• Conducting regular site visits
• Monitoring schedule progress
• Managing variations if required
• Problem solving unexpected issues
• Keeping the project moving forward
We do not act as a builder or undertake construction works, our role is to manage communication between trades, monitor progress, and ensure the renovation is delivered according to the agreed scope and timeline.
Step 6 — Completion & Handover
The finishing touches
As the renovation nears completion, we focus on final details and ensuring the space is delivered ready for you to enjoy.
This stage includes:
• Coordinating final trade works
• Addressing defects or touch ups
• Ensuring all works meet agreed scope
• Final walkthrough and project sign off
